We’re changing it up just a little bit today because this last weekend we spent the day on Saturday stacking wood. So now that Thanksgiving has passed here is the question that I have for you: are you prepared for retirement just like we’re prepared for winter? All summer long, all fall long, we knew that winter was coming. So, when the time was right, we ordered the wood, the wood came to the house, and then the work really began with us. We had to move all of the wood from the front to the back and stack it up so we’re set and ready to go for those cold, chilly winter nights, and we can have a fire blazing in the fireplace.
Guess what? You know that retirement is coming. It shouldn’t be a surprise, but it’s amazing how many people all of a sudden will reach the end of their working life and it’s like: “what do I do?”, “who do I go to?”, or “How do I solve all of these retirement issues?”. There are so many things that a person needs to be looking at: their estate planning, their 401Ks, their IRAs, their Roth’s, their annuities, their mutual funds, their stocks, their bonds, their life insurance, their automobile insurance, their homeowner’s insurance, their liability insurance, their wills, their trusts, their medical insurance (there’s so many things), their social security, and their Medicare. So many things need to be decided and all of a sudden, it’s like stacking wood: we’ve got to put this whole thing together.
